Happyville

Life always seems better in the summertime. Warm weather, getting a tan, summer nights, snow cones, good people, and adventures are just a few things keeping a smile on my face these days.

I am in Happyville. And there is no place I would rather be.

Run, Drive, Sleep, Repeat

This weekend I ran Ragnar. A race that starts in Logan and ends in Park City. 197 miles, 12 girls, and 2 vans. I ran my first leg, 3.8 miles, at about 3:00 pm Friday afternoon, my second was 7.5 miles at 3:00 am, and my last was the leg that started it all, the Ragnar hill, 4.0 miles straight up hill at about 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon. I ran 15.5 miles of the 197.

Off we go in van 2!

Made it through the first run!

On to round 2!

Getting ready for the night runs!

My feet are blistered, my muscles are sore, there were tears of joy and pain, lots of cheering, and lots and lots of sweat. Saturday morning started out rough when we had to pull over so I could throw up but I made it through.

This is at the bottom of Ragnar hill. That mountain behind me is what I ran up.
This is at the top of Ragnar hill. I made it up barely alive!

We made it to the finish!

The Dirty Dozen!

I only knew 3 of the girls on my team but we all became the best of friends by the end. It was one of the most fun things I have participated in!

Little Findings

Today I had to look for a good quote. I found myself looking through 2 years of day-to-day calendar quotes. It put a smile on my face!

Playing Catch-Up

Things have picked up around here. I have started my internship at KUED, teaching tennis lessons, friends getting home from missions, traveling, training and enjoying summer! Here are the latest happenings of life the past few weeks.

We have been to Washington D.C to visit Kacey. It was so fun to be back and see her doing it now.

My mom and I plus some great friends did the Little Red bike race. We rode 50 miles! And I can actually say it was a blast. Can't wait to get into character for next year!

My cute soul sister Meisha left on her mission to the Philippines this past week. It was hard to see her go but I could not be more proud of her!

We went boating and it was quite the experience. With it not only being cold but also crazy windy there wasn't much to do. That didn't stop me from getting in the water for a quick run on the wake skate. But this also led to me being cold for the next 4 hours. Our crew made the most of it and had a great time!

That's all for now! Let's hope it warms up this week so I can work on my tan!
