"It's not called gym-NICE-tics"

You know it is going to be a good week when you have Monday off from school. We wanted to keep our adventures going, so for Martin Luther King Day the girls headed to Waikiki to check out the Zoo. For starters, we can say that the Honolulu Zoo is definitely interesting. It is located right across the street from the beach which was definitely different than what we were expecting.

It had all your typical zoo animals; giraffes, elephants, rhinos, tigers, bears, monkeys, lizards, and birds of all kinds, but it was also missing a few of my favorites such as the lions, penguins, and gorillas. The weirdest part of the Zoo was the fact that the animals weren't exactly fenced in. Those rhino's could've charged right at us at any second and been free and on their way but no one seemed to concerned about it. Going to the zoo wasn't something I would've guessed I would be doing in Hawaii, that's for sure.

We have noticed that we are beginning to watch a lot of t.v at night, so we decided to change that. It turned into a night of gymnastics; first starting in our hallway, and then moving to the field in front of the school. We were trying all sorts of things-backbends, round-offs, stalls, headstands, and even a two-person cartwheel.

By the end, we were all exhausted! We started getting the hang of it all but we still have much more work to do before the semester is finished!
