The College Life
The first couple weeks of school are always busy. Trying to find and remember where all my classes are takes me 2 weeks alone. Labor Day tends to throw things off a bit. I've never understood why we can't just start after the holiday. We went to the first BYU game of the season!
We moved into our apartment and right when I got settled I was back in SLC for the holiday weekend! There was bowling, eating, games, and birthday's celebrated! It was a fun weekend and then it was back to the grind of school.
I can't believe this week is already over. Things are really starting to pick up in Cougarville!

How Time Flies
A year ago I was spending my first night in Washington D.C. I can't believe it has been a year since that great adventure. I loved my time in D.C and wouldn't trade it for anything. People always ask me what my favorite experience has been. I would have to say it was my time in D.C. It is where I grew the most, learned the most about myself, worked the hardest, and came home with a whole new perspective on life.
I am happy to say that the friends I made in Washington are still some of my best friends today. I am jealous of the people that get to be back there now just starting their adventures. A lot has changed in the past year and I am happy about that.
I am now back in Provo in a new apartment with new roommates and all new friends to meet. It is always exciting to start a new year of school and a new adventure. It has only been a few days but I can tell that it's going to be a good semester.

Cam and Caroline Hale
The past couple of weeks have been full of wedding festivities. I was so honored to be apart of Caroline's wedding. We were born a day apart and we have been raised together ever since. It was the most perfect day for such a great couple!
I was able to host Caroline's bridesmaid shower!
The beautiful bride!
Wouldn't have made it through the day without our Diet Cokes!
It was fun to spend time with these girls that I don't get to see very often!
Happy honeymooning in Hawaii!

One eventful week!
When I start to think about the past week my head starts to spin. It has been one thing after another. First on the list to report is the 24th of July. I love having another day to be patriotic! This year our stake did a float for the parade and I was asked to walk in it. We had the cutest float in town!
I survived the Saints to Sinners bike race with only a few hitches. My bike fell off the trailer and was dragged along the freeway for who knows how long. Luckily people came prepared and just happened to have an extra wheel and seat! Then I started my first leg only to get a flat tire. After that my luck changed and the rest of the rides were smooth sailing!
30 hours of biking/sleeping/talking/driving to get to Las Vegas only to have to get back in the car and turn around for a 7 hour drive back home. But it was all worth it. It was such a fun race to be apart of. Definitely one I would do again!

Tomorrow I am taking off for a 30 hour bike ride. It is exactly like Ragnar but instead of running I am biking. We start as saints in SLC and end as sinners in Las Vegas.
I am proud to be riding along our family friend Creighton Rider as we ride to support Lou Gehrig's disease.
I hope I make it back alive on Saturday night to blog about the adventure.
Wish me luck! I definitely need it.

Lake Powell Weekend
We finally made it to our favorite summer travel spot...Lake Powell. We went with our cousins and brought along a few friends. There was sunrise water skiing, surfing, airchairing, boat rides, afternoon and nightly storms, sun tans and of course the trick ski competition!
It really is a magical place. Can't wait to be back in a month!

Happy Birthday America!
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. My mom is the most patriotic person I know and she has passed her love of America to us. This year the Fourth was spent at a patriotic breakfast, parade, BBQ, and firework show. I wish we were as patriotic every day as we are on Independence day!
